How to dispose of sharps safely
If you rely on needles, syringes or lancets to manage medical conditions, please thoughtfully and responsibly dispose of sharps to avoid risk to collection staff.
Sharps should be stored in a puncture-proof and shatter-proof container and handed to a pharmacy staff member or put into one of the designated public bins.
Where can I take my sharps?
We provide a free sharps collection program at selected pharmacies across the City. When your container is full, deliver it to an official collection location listed below or visit Safe Sharps to search for a collection location when you are away from home.
