Join us as we celebrate Bankstown Lunar New Year!

Year of the Horse 2026

Join the celebrations with live entertainment, lucky envelopes from the God and Goddess of Good Fortune, a lion dance parade, lion dancing, Chinese firecrackers plus more!

Food and drink stalls will be offering a selection of cuisines including Asian favourites.

New Year Main Stage entertainment will begin at 4pm, providing a variety of performances including singing, dancing and traditional instruments from local community groups.

The Lunar New Year Garden will be colourfully decorated and include display of bonsai, a Vietnamese cultural hut and Thư Pháp Ngày Xuân”  (Lunar New Year Calligraphy). 

Full event program, performance, free children’s activities, food and drink stall details will be updated closer to the event.

Road closures will be in place around Olympic Parade from 8am-midnight on Saturday 7 February. Please follow directions for road detours.
